Take Out Tuesday Mouth Watering Watermelon SVG Download March 29

Hi Dandi Crafters. Happy Take Out Tuesday to you. Around here the spring time weather has left and we are once again cold. I am really ready for hot weather so I made this mouth watering watermelon for today's Take Out Tuesday.
You will find in the folder along with copyright and terms of use the mtc format and svg files. I didn't have time to make a scal version this time.

The zip file includes:

•Watermelon Base Layer(shown in black)
•Watermelon Piece 1 Layer (shown in red)
•Watermelon Piece 2 Layer (shown in pink)
•2 Watermelon Rhine Layers (shown in green and light green)
•Watermelon Flower Layer (shown in hot pink)
•Watermelon Flower Center Layer (shown in white)

I debated whether or not to cut the watermelon parts that you don't see off in order to make the watermelon lay flush against the background layer. I decided in the end since the cut didn't seem bulky when assembled that I would leave the parts of the watermelon you can't see in tack. This means that there is a half a watermelon and a quarter watermelon piece under the flower which will give you more design options.

I provide Tuesday Take Out as a thank you to my followers and regulars. It is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for download on Thursday we throw out the leftovers. If you are not already a follower you should consider becoming one so you don't miss any more Take Out Tuesdays.

Download: No longer available.
Still really want the file, read about file request.

Take Out Tuesday Garden Snail SVG Download March 22

Hi Dandi Crafters! I am in a Spring mood and today's Take Out Tuesday reflects it. It is a cute garden snail. I actually drew a similar garden snail about a year and a half ago. I was updating the garden snail  so I could use the snail to participate in a challenge but didn't want to release that snail in case someone was entering the same challenge however I decided to make an alternative snail by making additional changes to it so I could offer the snail for Take Out Tuesday because he is so darn cute.
The snail as seen here is about 3.5 inches tall. He is easy peasy to put together as he is only 3 layers. You will find in the folder the measurements, copyright and terms of use along with svg, mtc and scut formats.

The zip file includes:

•Snail Body(shown in Green)
•Snail Under Shell (shown in Teal)
•Snail Shell (shown in polka)

The eye is just a round punch that I glued from behind and I did not include an eye.

Thank you for joining today's Take Out Tuesday. Take Out Tuesday is provided for download on Tuesday and Wednesday as a thank you for my followers and regulars. On Thursday we throw out the leftovers. If you are not already a follower you should consider becoming one so you don't miss any more Take Out Tuesdays.

Yes To Take Out Tuesday

Hi Dandi Crafters! I was going to post this at the top of Take Out Tuesday but it seemed too long so I decided to make it a post. I just wanted to take a minute and say, "Yes I will continue Take Out Tuesday". Some of you have noticed my silence on the PC lawsuit against MTC, and I have gotten a few emails asking me since MTC and SCAL will no longer work with the Cricut did I plan to continue making svg files. First let me say that previously purchased versions of mtc will still work as long as you do not update your Make The Cut Software or update the firmware on your cricut.
For the time being I will continue to use my cricut and mtc software without updating either. This is not a big deal to me. I used and still use the original SCAL so although the new features and updates are nice I personally don't need them to achieve results as I usually design most of my svg outside of these programs anyway. I do plan to buy a different cutter but which one and when I haven't decided on. Yes I think PC has acted in a manner unbecoming to a reputable business, but not for the reasons many others have mentioned, but for letting all the misinformation, letting their board members sling mud and make disparaging remarks on their discussion board about the third party software and their owners. Either one can talk about 3rd party software on the PC message board or one can't. It shouldn't be permitted for one to discuss third party software as long as one is slinging mud and making outlandish and disparaging remarks about it. If you see me on either of the boards I will still be friendly, nice, and there to see what everyone creates, keeping my opinion about controversial subjects to myself.
Lastly I would like to add that even though for the near future I will not be updating my MTC software I plan to donate when new MTC updates become available because I want MTC to be around when I am ready to update. MTC is a wonderful software program and has its finger on the pulse of where cutting machines are heading. I think the future is in buying and using individual cuts not in a collection. I think sooner or later everyone will get tired of limiting their cutting content to what is on a cartridge, especially as svg online libraries continue to grow. I see more and more companies and individuals offering both free and pay original svgs to cut. Spending $50.00 on a cartridge when you only want 4 of the images really will get harder and harder to justify. I feel even PC will eventually have to see the truth in that statement. I predict that the crafting industry standards will eventually force PC to offer individual content to their consumers or become a relic. It won't happen today, or tomorrow, maybe not even a year from now, but the days when arbitrary content is put on a cartridge and sold without regard to what the buyer wants is coming to an end.
So to say it simply Take Out Tuesday is alive and well. I will see you tomorrow.

DtsArt Sponsors Scrapping.no

Hi Dandi Crafters I wanted to share with you some projects my pals over at Scrapping.no came up with. Some of DtsArt's Digital Stamps got to mingle with the design team over at Scrapping.no because DtsArt recently sponsored one of their challenges. Of course all the digi stamps were excited and wanted to be picked, but alas the digital stamps that were picked for a meet and greet with Scrapping.no were Puppy Love Lara and Pup and Katie Fairy Valentine's Day. Scrapping.no really has got a talented design team.
Check Out what some of their design team came up with.

Take Out Tuesday No Glue Box SVG Download March 15

Hi Dandi Crafters. Happy Take Out Tuesday to you. Today I have a cute little box that requires no glue. It has little tabs that tuck into the sides to hold it together. There are score lines so you know where to score. I made this box quite awhile ago before I had make the cut software so only svg and scut 1 files are available for this file.
The larger box as it is seen her is 5.5x 3.5 x 1.5. The smaller one is 3.75 x 2.5 x 0.90. You can find copyright, terms of use and measurements inside the folder
The zip file includes:

•No Glue Box (shown 2 sizes)

I provide Tuesday Take Out as a thank you to my followers and regulars. It is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for download on Thursday we throw out the leftovers. If you are not already a follower you should consider becoming one so you don't miss any more Take Out Tuesdays.

Take Out Tuesday Funky Monkey Boy SVG Download March 8

Hi Dandi Crafter happy Take Out Tuesday to you. I am so glad that everyone liked the tutu cute monkey, panda girl and panda boy. All of them seemed to run together for quite a few regulars as I have gotten a steady trickle of emails asking if they missed monkey boy or could I resend him because they misplaced him and they are sure they downloaded him. LOL No you didn't; I never made a monkey boy, only a panda boy. Well if so many followers think that there was a monkey boy this must just be an oversight on my part. I never really set out to make a set of any of them, but one thing lead to another and before I knew it there was a panda bear set, and the panda girl also went with the tutu cute monkey. So here he is without further delay Monkey Boy to go with tutu cute monkey girl. I guess the boys can hang out together while the girls are at dance class. LOL
Monkey Boy as you see him here is just slightly over 4.5 inches tall. In the folder you will find copyright, terms of use and measurements, along with SVG files, mtc files and scut files.

The zip file includes:

•Monkey Boy Shadow (shown in white)
•Monkey Boy Base Layer (shown in Brown)
•Monkey Boy Body Parts (shown in beige)
•Monkey Boy Head (shown in beige)
•Monkey Alt Head (shown in black, think face)
•Monkey Ears (shown in beige)
•Monkey Tail ( Not shown)
•Monkey Shorts (shown in red)
•Monkey Alt Shorts (shown in yellow, think buttons)

As noted above there are two faces, one that has the face cut out the other is a solid shape cut in case you like to stamp your faces or if you like to do as I did and use it underneath to make face features stand out. The same is true with the shorts for those that may not want buttons on his pants. I actually sized my alt face a bit smaller than the cut out face so it would fit perfectly behind and not be seen except for the face features, also I did this with the shorts.

I provide Tuesday Take Out as a thank you to my followers and regulars. It is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for download on Thursday we throw out the leftovers. If you are not already a follower you should consider becoming one so you don't miss any more Take Out Tuesdays.

Have A Popping Good Day Microwave Popcorn Slider Sleeve

Hi Dandi Crafters! I made this cute little microwave popcorn slider sleeve. It is so darling and makes a super little appreciation gift. Can you say teacher appreciation which is right around the corner. LOL I use this super cute popcorn digital stamp from The Stamping Boutique.
I used my Make The Cut enabled Cricut to cut the decorative polka dotted paper. I just used my paper trimmer to cut the yellow card stock. I then drew a few pieces of popcorn in my image editor and made them svgs and cut the pieces of popcorn out using my make the cut software.
The yellow card stock is cut at 11 inches wide x 6.5 inches in height
Polka dotted card stock (pattern is just one of my pattern papers that I designed over the years) was cut at 10.75 inches wide x 5.7 inches in height.
I also cut a circle out of the middle so I could have that cute popcorn box digital stamp showing through. The sentiment was just something I whipped up and printed out on the pattern paper before cutting. It came out so darling. I then cut out several little pieces of popcorn on white card stock and inked them up using yellow and beige ink to give it a real buttery look. I then added to the popcorn in various spots on the slider to give it a real popped look.

Challenge Over at TSB Challenge Blog

Hi Dandi Crafters. You should head over to the TSB Challenge Blog. They have a fun challenge going on right now. The challenge is to use Texture Sparkle and Buttons on your creations. I used the TSB digital image Valentine Cottage. It may be well past Valentine's Day but I think it looks more Smufish than Valentin's Day the way I colored it. I loved smurfs when I was young, so I had a blast working with this cute as a button digi!
