Happy Birthday Princess

So my little princess turned 9 last weekend and we had a princess party for her. She was over the moon with her birthday party. She first wanted to have a spa birthday party. She had been to the Bippity Boppity Boutique when we were at Disney and really liked it. So I looked into it the "girls" spa they have around here. It is not a chain or anything. I went inside. They did birthday parties so to speak, but not really if you ask me. I went inside the lady gave me a price list. I asked if they did birthday parties. Yes we do. Do you have a package price. "No we don't. You just take the price of the treatment and times it by the number of girls." I was underwhelmed to say the LEAST." No extras for the bday girl, no discount, no anything. In other words they really didn't do birthday parties but your friends were welcome to go to the spa when you did. LOL After I did the math of what it would cost to take my Guppie and a couple of her friends to the spa. I decided if I did alot of work myself I could give her an AWESOME party. So that is what I did. :-) For the same money to take 3 little girls to the spa for treatment I threw a princess party for 9 girls. I made each girl a tutu to wear. Each girl got a souvenir princess tshirt with their name on it. They each got a chance to personalize their princess colors. (Most everyone choose a pink dress even though they could pick from 4 different colors. LOL) They decorated princess crowns with glitter stickers and such. They came out super cute. We played 5 games, pin the crown on the princess, pass the nail polish, princess crown trivia, pixie dust relay in teams and a door prize scratch off game. All of which the winners won a prize. Each took home a princess gift bag that was in the shape of crown which was fit for a princess. The little girls had so much fun especially my Guppie. At some time during the day, my Guppie turned to me and said "Mommy, I am glad that we didn't go to [the spa place] because if I did I wouldn't have this tutu and my princess shirt for me and all my friends. This was the best day ever!" So the birthday was a TOTAL success! Not because I spent my birthday budget dollars wisely, which I did, but because I spent my birthday budget dollars on the most smiles and giggles for my buck :-) Happy 9th Birthday Gup :-)

Ready For Halloween

I got my blog out decked out in my halloween costume! It felt good too! I have had my head burried so deep in AI that haven't really done anything creative in probably a week. LOL I have spent hours a day in the last week learning AI(adobe illustrator). I feel like I am starting to know my way around but I have a long way to go before I will be creating in AI. I want the knowledge RIGHT NOW! I have so many ideas floating in my head I can barely sleep! I think I slept four hours last night! Well let me know what you think of my Halloween costume! LOL Tune in to see what I have been up to in AI I will post something soon. :-)

Watermelon out of season

Well I am continuing to learn my way around ai (adobe illustrator). I worked on making a watermelon. Although I am challenged by learning ai I am not finding it difficult maybe because I am used to thinking it the same terms as layers and vectors and such. I am getting anxious to know it all already though. I am just learning ai as a means to an end. When I can move around in ai to draw characters in there that is when the REAL FUN starts and you will start seeing some New and AWESOME ideas from my ai training :-) Tune in again soon to see what I am doing next.

AI Here We Go! The Adventure Begins!

Here we go! I have had Illustrator on my computer for I don't know, 2 years. I have oh I don't know 5 books on how to illustrator... LOL and so they have sat there. I have just not had much motivation for AI (Adobe Illustrator). I mean I needed to figure it out but where is my motivation..I am so GOOD at my Paint Shop Pro. I can do everything that I need to do in there. Yep, yep! Well A NEW DAY has come to PASS. I absolutely can not get accomplished what I want, need to, do in Paint Shop Pro. It doesn't have the format! So here I sit starting from the basics...LOL need a strong foundation so I can edit nodes in AI with the same exact expertise that I have always done in Paint Shop Pro.
So here is what I learned today. Squares...LOL changing the color of them moving them around the canvas both together and seperately, grouping copying them and deleting them. I have to say that I am concentrating on not only learning how to move around in AI but also learning the keyboard strokes for everything too, something I never really concentrated on in Paint Shop Pro. Tune in often to read and see more of my adventures in AI :-)

New eBay Store Finished

I just finished up this Pink Party Dress eBay Store Front design for forevershopping. I really like the flannel gray in this layout. It adds a bit of legitimacy to the fun frivolity that the store displays Jennifer was great to work with. Her store now reflects the finished, polished attitude she exhibits in her business.
She had this to say about her new look,

"I just wanted to thank you again! I absolutely love it and couldn't be happier. I can't wait for my family and friends to check it out and then of course, customers :O)
I will be sure to recommend you to everyone. I hope to buy some more templates from you at a later date.
"

If you need help updating your eBay store feel free to email me.

NOT Picture Perfect

I have been having issues with my present day photohost. They have been having serious problems with their server. As a result many templates experienced outage. As a result I have decided to leave my present day photohost for a larger much more reliable one. Any template sold after October 9 will now be on the new photo host and outage will be a thing of the past. If you would like updated code for a template you purchased on the new photohost please email me :-)
