Take Out Tuesday 3D Quad Petal Flower SVG Download April 5

Hi Dandi Crafters. Last week I was talking with a friend of mine and she had made this super cute 3D flower. She asked me if I wanted the file. I told her no that although it was super cute that I didn't want the file. I confessed to her my deep dark crafting secret...."I don't like 3d flowers." I know I know what you must be thinking, "I can't visit your blog, you are one of THOSE people." I know I am sure they are coming to take craft blog accreditation away as I post. Wait before you hot glue and glitter me let me say I like the 3D flowers on YOUR projects, just not on mine. I don't know maybe I am a lazy crafter and I just don't want to take the time that it takes to make the 3D flowers pretty. Maybe I just have 2 left hands when it comes to 3D flowers. I don't know, but I blame Penny Duncan and all the others out there like her that make it look so effortless that we mere mortals think we have chance at making exquisite 3D flowers. If you have time visit Miss Penny's Blog she has a great blog and her projects have an elegnant flair.

Well that got me thinking, maybe I haven't given the whole 3D enough of a chance. As I was working on one of my client's websites,I made this flower and thought this might make a cute flower. Yes, although it did make a cute flower in my mere mortal hands it looks pitiful. However, I imagine that in those that have 3D flower making super powers, those of you like Penny Duncan, can turn this modest flower into a work of art. I stick to my original statement I don't like 3D flowers.

The flower file is a simple one 3 layers in svg, mtc, and scut formats. I hope you enjoy today's Take Out Tuesday.

I provide Tuesday Take Out as a thank you to my followers and regulars. It is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for download on Thursday we throw out the leftovers. If you are not already a follower you should consider becoming one so you don't miss any more Take Out Tuesdays.

I loved your story! I've only made 3D flowers once and they came out great. You're right about Penny - she's sooo talented and it all looks so easy once she explains it. I'll have to give your petal flowers a chance. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks so much for the flower file. I've tried to make Penny's daffodils, but they don't even compare to hers! But I'm determined to keep trying! Thanks again!

Charming little flower, but I don't have the superpowers, either. I can identify. I love them, but I don't do them. Thanks for the share.

I am so glad that I am not the only one that feel like this about 3D flowers. It really is a love hate relationship. I love how they look on other's projects, hate how they turn out when I am making them. LOL

I have yet to make a 3D flower. I guess I'm a little intimidated with them. I LOVE Penny! She is an addiction isn't she? LOL
